Earn more, but wealth is greatly weakened.
Income has increased by as much as 16 percent for Labor Party leader Jonas Gahr Støre. While Støre’s revenue based on tax figures was NOK 1.17 million in 2018, it increased to NOK 1.36 million in 2019. This gives a revenue increase of 16 percent, shows the tax figures at which Nettavisen has had access.
Wealth, on the other hand, has fallen by as much as 14 percent. While the Labor leader had a taxable net worth of NOK 61.7 million in 2018, it fell to NOK 53.3 million in 2019.
The accounting figures for the family business Femstø AS, in which Støre owns 76 percent of the shares, do not explain why wealth has fallen so sharply. The online newspaper has failed to obtain an explanation for the change in wealth.
Profit in the family business
In 2017, Jonas Gahr Støre had an income of NOK 2.75 million, a fortune of NOK 61.2 million, according to tax lists. The change to 2018 was significant. By then, income had fallen to NOK 1.2 million, while wealth had increased by half a million.

Femstø AS made a profit of up to NOK 57 million in 2017, after profits from the sale of mutual funds of up to NOK 55.9 million. Jonas Gahr Støre owns 76 percent of the company. In 2018, turnover plummeted and the company recorded a loss of NKr 1.1 million.
The increase in the value of investments in stocks and bond funds gave a total of NOK 4.8 million in financial income in 2019. A loss of NOK 1.2 million the previous year turned into a profit of NOK 3.4 million before tax. With a registered capital of NOK 91.6 million, the family business has strong finances.

Hareide in null
Conservative Prime Minister Erna Solberg earned NOK 1.68 million in 2019, which was a four percent increase over the previous year. The prime minister’s similar net worth was NOK 5.3 million in 2019, the same as the previous year.
The newly elected leader of the Liberal Party, Guri Melby, earned NOK 824,000 in 2019, down one percent from the previous year. The leftist leader has no fortune.

MDG’s Une Bastholm increased his income from 721,000 to 806,000 and has no wealth, as do several of the party’s other younger leaders.
The online newspaper has not had access to the tax figures of the other party leaders.
Figures are based on tax figures obtained from a credit reporting company. The online newspaper reserves the right to appeal and change the figures. Normally, all tax settlement is published in November, but due to the situation of the crown, this year it has been postponed to December.
