Multiple viewers reported Saturday night that it was not possible to vote on the TV 2 website during tonight’s “Skal vi danse” broadcast, where referee favorite Nathan Kahungu withdrew from the competition.

On Saturday night, suggestions arrive with suggestions to VG that it was not possible to vote on the TV 2 website during tonight’s “Skal vi danse” broadcast.

Sandra (25) is one of those who sat at home in the living room with the family and watched tonight’s broadcast. When it was time to duel, everyone on the couch tried to vote for their favorite, to no avail.

– None of us could vote. We test online and with various browsers. Some got a vote, but it was incorrectly recorded. You were supposed to vote for a person once, but all three votes were recorded in the same place, says Sandra.

Julie (23) and her friends could not vote either.

– It was only gray where you could press to vote. We tried updating several times but it didn’t work. It’s awkward when you have to vote and it doesn’t work.

– When the name had to be pressed, it was as if it were blocked, he did not answer anything, another tipper says to VG.

The tipper voted during the duel and tested both participants without success.

During TV 2’s Facebook post thanking the couple who smoked for the dance, many viewers also commented that they were unable to vote on the website.

Take it seriously

TV 2 press manager Jan-Petter Dahl tells VG that there may have been problems with online voting, but says SMS voting has worked normally.

– We will check this with our subcontractor who is responsible for the voting system. Tomorrow we will have a full review when we receive them.

Dahl says they have a system that is rigged to receive more votes than it does today.

– We take this very seriously. Then we need to get feedback on whether it is so extensive that it has had an impact on the result. People must be sure that when they vote, there will also be a fair result.

Dahl says they will come out with the information as soon as they know what happened, something he estimates will be no later than Monday.

Nathan “Nate” Kahungu’s family also struggled to vote for him from home.

– It is rare when you cannot vote for the family, especially when we see that it has so much potential, says his brother Raymond Levi Kahungu (17).

He says nothing happened when various family members were on the website to vote. In addition, he voted via SMS, which he received confirmation an hour later, according to himself.

– If the votes are wrong, we can expect them to correct it and restart it so that they both advance to the next round. But if it turns out that there is nothing wrong, it is fair, it is the viewers who decide, says Kahungu.

– Not expected

It was scheduled for a night of adventure, and dance partners Nathan “Nate” Kahungu and Helene Spilling had to face off against Michael Andreassen and Ewa Trela.

The duel broke records, host Anders Hoff said just after the vote. In the end, it was Kahungu who had to leave “Skal vi danse”, to the surprise of many.

Shortly after the broadcast, Kahungu tells VG that it was all a shock.

-I don’t know if I was allowed to say that I am surprised, but it was not expected in the way I would smoke or end in a duel, he says.

– It is incredibly difficult to have this feeling, we did everything possible. “I am very disappointed that I was not good enough for Helene,” he says.

When asked how her dance partner Spilling is doing, she responds:

– Absolutely damn it.

Kahungu says the thing she will miss the most about not going to dance training again on Monday is unity.

– There are great people here. I have fallen in love with each and every one of them in different ways, and I will miss each and every one of them.
