(Southampton 2-5 Tottenham) After 65 minutes, Heung-min Son became the first South Korean to score a hat trick in the Premier League. Eight minutes later he put up his room.
The four goals make Son one of only 28 players to have scored four in a single Premier League match. He is thus on the list of exclusive names such as Sergio Agüero, Wayne Rooney, Luis Suárez and Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
But this was really a match consisting of two different rounds. In the first 45 minutes, it was Southampton who controlled much of the game. During the first half hour, three goals were canceled, but after 32 minutes, the match finally got a tally marker at St. Mary’s.
Former Tottenham player Kyle Walker-Peters found Danny Ings in the back room, who beautifully arranged the ball. The shot was all the rage when the forward threw the ball into the far corner.

Seconds before the break, Tottenham got the long-awaited draw. Southampton were the leading team at home, but Son punished them in a transfer. Tanguy Ndombele played Harry Kane free on the edge, who found the South Korean directly in front of goal. There was the attacker calling alone with the goalkeeper.
In the second half, Son added three more goals. Son’s four goals were also assisted by Kane, who also made the Tottenham striker a historic one. Kane is the first Premier League player to have served four assists to the same player during a match. But that was not enough for Tottenham’s spearhead.
Because after completing four goals, he even entered the scorers list. Erik Lamela came in from the bench and sent a shot, through the gloves of Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, into the post. Then Kane received the ball and from a few yards put Tottenham’s lead 5-1.
In the end, the home team got a penalty that Ings scored, but there were no more goals. Thus, Tottenham wins their first game of the season. That’s after a masterful second round, especially from Kane and no less from Son, who wrote himself in the history books.
PS: After the match between Southampton and Tottenham was over, half the round was also played. In the five games, 28 goals have been scored, giving an average of 5.6 goals per game.
