Borussia Dortmund continue to insist that Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Manchester United can rule out the addition of Jadon Sancho (20) before the transfer window closes on Monday.
Sancho has been a buzzword at Old Trafford all summer, but Manchester United shouldn’t have been willing to pay the price Dortmund has put on the young wing, 120 million euros, around 1.3 billion crowns.
The transfer window closes on October 5, with British media reporting in recent days that Manchester United are working on one last push to secure the attractive signing.
On Friday, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed that there has been contact between the clubs, but that there will be no transfer in the coming days.
“Of course we have had talks with Manchester, but everything that needs to be said on this matter has already been said by us,” he said according to the AFP news agency.
– It will not change in three days, added the top of Dortmund.
According to Sky Sports, Erling Braut Haaland’s employer earlier this week turned down an offer of around one billion crowns.
Earlier this summer, football experts with a special focus on the German league were convinced that the young Englishman would end up at Manchester United. For it to become a reality, Solskjær will have to sign the agreement no later than next Monday night.

It is not known if the 20-year-old Sancho, who scored 17 goals in the Bundesliga last season, will be seen on the field when Dortmund take on Freiburg at home in the league on Saturday.
– Jadon has a mild cold. We’ll see, coach Lucien Favre said on Friday.
Sancho was also in charge of the Super Cup match against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Solskjær had this to say when asked about United’s search for the transfer market on Friday:
– I don’t want to go into that. All my focus is on Sunday’s game. The club always works hard to have the best possible stable. If something happens, you will hear it, Solskjær replied.

But on Friday, it wasn’t just Dortmund who came out in the media with negative news for Solskjær. Barcelona did the same.
When the Spanish club unveiled new Dutch acquisition Sergiño Dest on Friday, Manchester United’s interest in Ousmane Dembélé became an issue. Sports director Ramon Planes’ response should not be misinterpreted.
– There are no negotiations with Manchester United. He (Dembélé) is a player we trust, he said.
– We hope to take advantage of your soccer skills. I am convinced that he will have a brilliant year with us, he added.
The 23-year-old Dembélé, who has suffered many injuries after the Borussia Dortmund transfer, is rumored to leave Barcelona.
Now there are many indications that it will stick around anyway. Therefore, Ole Gunnar Solskjær may have to seek reinforcements other than Dembélé and Sancho.
