Manchester United have reached an agreement with Ajax star Donny van de Beek for his transfer to Old Trafford. United confirms this on its website.
Ajax also confirms the transfer and states that the transfer fee is NOK 460 million.
The Dutchman signs an agreement that extends over five years, that is, until 2025.
Shelving
Van de Beek will now fight for the midfield with players like Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes and Andreas Perreira.
“It is impossible to explain the incredible opportunity I have when I become part of a club with such a fantastic history,” van de Beek told United’s website.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær also praises his new midfielder.
– Donny has all the technical skills necessary to perform on this team, and he has the necessary personality at Manchester United, says Solskjær.

Van de Beek has left a heartwarming message to Ajax fans:
The 23-year-old is a dangerous midfielder who was one of Ajax’s young stars who swept the soccer world and devastated the Champions League last year. Together with the rest of the boys, they beat teams like Real Madrid and Juventus.

Van de Beek has played for Ajax his entire career. He has 118 league games and 28 goals for the great Dutch club.
His skills in the last third can be useful to Solskjær. According to the website Whoscored.com, only Marcus Rashford has delivered more goal points than go of Beek.
