There’s one reason in particular why Skoda Enyaq is perhaps the biggest electric car event here at home this year:
The Norwegians want a mid-range SUV with a four-hole course with a ski box on the roof, a trailer in the rear, and most of all a range that takes them into the cabin.
The Skoda Enyaq iV (smart vehicle), long known as Vision IV, is the first electric car to offer this. And with Skoda’s focus on space and practical solutions, it’s clear that you’re looking forward to it.
Until now, the market for electric cars was divided. Relatively cheap cars in the compact class or relatively expensive in the luxury segment. Audi e-tron has delivered a car of the right size at the right price and has been highly rewarded for it, despite the buyer having to swallow a short range.
Now comes the news of the electric car: – Enjoy
Design
Enyaq has been violently teased ahead of the launch. As usual, we can say that the appearance is as expected. The biggest twist is the LED strip on the grill. Luminous foot ribs from a glass grille can also be ordered.
The suspenders will distinguish you well from the crowd, otherwise it will fit very well in the showroom between Kodiaq and Superb. It doesn’t scream electric car, and if you’re going to believe the e-Tron sale, that’s fine, but of course you’ve done a “light signature” when you open and close the car.
Enyaq will be available as both an SUV and a crossover, not unlike the Vision. The dimensions of the rim vary from 19 to 21 inches, that is, quite large wheels.
It is almost unbelievable that Enyaq is the first family car to enter the VAG market, which is based on the new miracle modular MEB platform. Most models are built around MEB, not just the group, but also Ford, among others.
No buttons
So far, Skoda has had a sober but rather understated interior. Enyaq is really showing a new direction. The instruments are still built into a traditional dashboard, but the 15-inch multimedia is well drawn to us with a strong profile against the front seats.
It has roughly the same user interface as the Golf, and with the habituation it shouldn’t need more than two taps to reach most of the functions, according to Skoda. It remains to try for yourself.
The weather is at the bottom of the screen and swipe at the bottom of the screen to adjust the sound. The easiest, of course, is to do it at the wheel.
For the first time since the old days, the steering wheel has two spokes, and you still have paddles behind the wheel, but these control the degree of regeneration.

Family size
The car is 464 cm long (6 cm shorter than the Kodiaq) and spacious. You feel good in the memory and massage front seats if you ask. The rear seat is not in line with the longer 20cm Superb, but the adults sit well and have plenty of room up to the ceiling.
It does not have a boot in the front, but the boot in the rear drains 585 liters. You get a traditional 40/60 split and a ski hatch. The rear seat is fixed and not on rails. The front seats can be ordered with memory and massage.
You can tow a trailer. It is true that not in the whole world. 1,200 kilos, mostly enough for yard waste and the archipelago’s lightest jet skis and jeeps, but it lasts for many.
Just smart
Skoda has pampered its owners with practical solutions and continues at Enyaq. Under the boot floor, they have made room for the boot cover when not in use. The ice scraper has been moved to a separate room in the tailgate and, in addition to a magnifying glass, it also has a tire wear gauge.
The umbrella is still in place on the driver’s door and we hope the trash cans on the sides of the door will be included as well.
The center console has 6.2 liters of space under the arm and is on two floors, so you actually have 11.4 liters of additional space under most of the center console.

Motorization
Enyaq is available with rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive and with four different battery sizes.
The four-wheel drive versions get the largest battery pack. Depending on the price differences, which we’ll find out early tomorrow, it will probably be the smaller four-wheel drive version that is the biggest seller.
204 horses have more than enough for most. It is this model that also has the longest range. See table.
The on-board charger is standard at 7.4 kW, but 11 kW is available.
The smallest model has a load capacity of 50 kW. The 62’s battery has a 100 kW charger and the four-wheel drive has a 125 kW charging capacity.
