Shock transition for Kurtovic

Amanda Kurtovic is on loan from Györ to Kastamonu Belediyesi, trained by the Danish Helle Thomsen. This is confirmed by the Turkish club on Twitter.

The transition was speculated to be in the box before Christmas, but at the time, the 29-year-old turned this down to Nettavisen. But now the club change has been confirmed.

– I can’t wait to start 2021 with you, get to know you and get to know your city. Happy New Year, says Kurtovic in a video posted on Twitter by Kastamonu Belediyesi.

Kurtovic has struggled with little playing time at Györ, and in November the great Hungarian team reported in a press release that the 29-year-old had been allowed to leave the club on loan for the remainder of the season. The club also reported that Kurtovic could not attend a club that plays in the Champions League. The contract with Györ runs until June 30, 2022.

In November, it also became clear that Kurtovic was not part of the Norwegian team for the European Championship, which was played in December. The manager of the national team, Thorir Hergeirsson, then pointed out as the reason the short playing time.

– It’s sad not to be with him. It has been a motivation to be able to make his way in the squad of the European Championship. But it is no secret that I have had a difficult year. And the withdrawal is the result of not gaining trust in the club, Kurtovic told TV 2 at the time.
