Tine Austvoll Jensen leaves Discovery in favor of one of the largest companies in the world.

Starting January 4, 2021, you will lead Google’s efforts in Norway as country manager. It emerges from a company press release Thursday morning.

– As a pioneer country for digital technology, Norway is a special market, and I take on this new role with great enthusiasm, says Jensen.

Peter Friis, CEO of Google Northern Europe, comments on the appointment in the press release:

– Tine has a lot of experience as a committed leader in the Norwegian media industry for many years. We are very happy to have found the perfect candidate to further expand our Norwegian business and help Norwegian companies grow by collaborating with Google.

Optimistic before economic recovery

Jensen comes from work as CEO and editor-in-chief of Discovery Norway. There he also previously held other management positions in the Norwegian and Nordic part of the company. Jensen also has management experience from Schibsted Media Group and MTG.

Now look up to get on the road ahead after the crown crisis.

– We are at a very special time, but I am optimistic and firmly believe that Google and the company’s technology can play an important role in accelerating Norway’s economic reconstruction.

In Thursday’s press release, Jensen says his first priority in the new job will be this:

– Support Google Norway employees and customers in whatever way I can and help our partners in Norway make the most of digital opportunities.
