Actor Sean Connery is dead. Reports, among others, to the BBC. The news is also confirmed by the family. He turned 90 years old.
He leaves behind, among others, his son Jason Connery (57), who has followed in his father’s footsteps and has become an actor. He tells the BBC that his father has been battling a long-lasting illness and that he fell asleep peacefully in the Bahamas.
– We all have a hard time understanding this great event, because it happened very recently, despite the fact that my father has been ill for a long time. A sad day for everyone who knew and loved my father, and a sad loss for all the people around the world who enjoyed the wonderful gift he had as an actor, the son tells the BBC.
He also leaves behind his wife Micheline Connery (91). The couple met in Morocco and married in 1975.
