Adventurer and television profile Samuel Massie (28) and grandfather Arne Ulvolden (85) have traveled together on several trips around the world in “Samuel and Grandfather.”

A trip of the somewhat less pleasant kind took place at home for this last first day of Christmas. The Christmas dinner with chops and aquavit was replaced by a trip to the hospital bed in the Haukeland ER for Grandpa Ulvolden.

- It was not natural for us to continue with the adventure.

– It was not a matter of routine to continue with the adventure.

The 85-year-old man had had a heart attack and was transported by ambulance from the cabin in Øygarden on the outskirts of Bergen.

Fortunately, Ulvolden made a quick recovery and shortly thereafter sent his granddaughter Massie a video, which the 28-year-old later posted on his Instagram profile.

“Samuel, alive, alive, alive well,” Grandpa said with a smile at the camera in the video clip.

– It’s better. He’s in good shape, says Massie when See and Hear hits the thread.

The “Samuel and Grandpa” profile says that he drove home from the Christmas celebration in Bergen on the first day of Christmas, when his grandfather called him and told him he had pain in his heart and arm, which is often a sign. of a heart attack.

– He thought he should try to sleep. It took him another two hours of persuasion before he really bothered to call the emergency room. If it hadn’t been for that, it would have been more dangerous. He was very happy to get there, says Massie, adding:

– You don’t want to be disturbed. With an attitude of: “Don’t bother the doctors, poor thing.” It is eternally positive. He’s laying there with these heart problems, sending me a nice video. So I think a lot of people have something to learn from their optimism, says the 28-year-old.

Massie goes on to tell Se og Hør that his grandfather is in good mental health and that no pain can stop him.

– He’s still the same guy who parachuted out of a plane in Australia, he says, adding that the 85-year-old has stayed active during the corona pandemic by launching a deck in the cockpit.

Write a book on the hospital bed.

Wolf violence isn’t from the lazy side of the hospital bed either, Massie can report. In fact, the 85-year-old has started writing a new book project that they are collaborating on.

– After receiving your video, he said, “Samuel, now we have to rush to write a book.” So now you have started writing. He has even set a July deadline with the book. Now all of a sudden it was he who was the great driver, so I just have to follow Grandpa, he laughs.

It is not known if there will be the same number of cuts in Grandpa Ulvolden on New Year’s Eve.

– I think there will be salmon left, so that’s fine. The 2021 diet has already started, the grandson wisely says.
