[NETTAVISEN:] Anne-Elisabeth Hagen has soon disappeared for two years. No one has received signs of life from her since the day of her disappearance on October 31, 2018.
Her husband Tom Hagen is charged with murder or complicity in her murder, but has always denied any criminal guilt. In May, he was released after spending 10 days in solitary confinement.
The police are still working hard on the case. New information Nettavisen has received about how murder suspect Hagen described his wife to police. In an interrogation in February 2019, before being arrested, he mentioned her in warm words.
– You have no enemies
The online newspaper is informed that he described her as “social” and “that people enjoy”, “that she has no enemies” and that she is “popular”.
He has also explained to the police how he and Anne-Elisabeth met and partied in the same circle of friends as teenagers and were married in their late teens.
On questioning he also says that “it was fate that brought us together” and that they were married in October 1969. He also describes the marriage as a “destiny” with reference to something personal that they experienced together in their teens.
Anne-Elisabeth’s description of Tom Hagen has been the subject of a series of interviews with the three adult children they have together, friends of the couple, business partners and others close to the Hagen couple.
The reasons for mentioning Anne-Elisabeth in positive terms have been discussed among investigators, both before and after he was charged in the case, Nettavisen was informed. According to Nettavisen, some of the investigators are said to have argued that this could accumulate under Hagen’s innocence.
The online newspaper has asked the eastern police district several questions, but they give very few soft answers. Overall, the spokeswoman, Police Inspector Agnes Beate Hemiø, responds as follows in an email sent by Communications Advisor Marianne Nordengen:
– We have no comment on this for the sake of the investigation.
– love people
Hemiø confirms in the email that there are no changes in the indictment against Tom Hagen or changes in the main theory of the police.
It should also have been mentioned that Tom Hagen, in the first questioning with the police, in October 2018, is said to have described his wife in a positive light. According to TV 2, he said it was a normal and good marriage, describing her as “the kindest in the world.”
He is also said to have said that Anne-Elisabeth is fit for her age.
During questioning in February 2019, he continued to speak affectionately about his wife. The online newspaper is told that Tom Hagen has explained that he “hated planning” and is “spontaneous.” The police have tried to investigate these descriptions specifically by asking other people who have been in questioning.
One of the reasons why the police have been interested in this description has been to see if it could be based on other theories besides that the husband is behind the murder, for example that she had voluntarily disappeared, and that this could have been done spontaneously, The online newspaper said.
Tom Hagen’s defense attorney, attorney Svein Holden, does not want to comment on the case to Nettavisen.
Tom Hagen is also said to have told police that Anne-Elisabeth “is good at writing” and is artistically inclined and loves people, “especially those who are not quite A4.” In addition, he has said that he had “friends in all circles”.
The police are still working flat out on the disappearance case. Sometimes more resources are set aside, depending on the tasks to be performed.
Police still believe that the Hagen couple’s home at Sloraveien 4 in Lørenskog is the scene of the murder. The police have recently completed investigative work on the home. Earlier this summer, Nettavisen was able to report, among other things, that the surveys that were to be conducted were:
Footwear footprint test. Testing of different types of liquid. Soil investigations.
In addition, Nettavisen was informed that the police were going to conduct further investigations into the telephone movements of Anne-Elisabeth’s phone, in addition to new sound tests inside the home.
– The investigations can help shed light on what happened to Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, writes Hemiø in the email.

Grilled over the marriage covenant
One of the police theories is that Anne-Elisabeth may have been strangled in the downstairs bathroom. Police believe it may have been a financial motive for the murder and Nettavisen has previously mentioned that Tom Hagen has been questioned about the couple’s marriage pact.
Hagen has been asked about the marriage covenant both with offended status in the case and after he was arrested and given accused status.
– In our opinion, it is very natural that the marriage contract has been questioned, both when it was offended and accused. It is a case involving a spouse who is missing and the remainder is charged with murder or complicity in murder, former prosecutor in the case, Haris Hrenovica, told Nettavisen earlier this year.
The online newspaper is aware that some of the police lawyers have reacted to the fact that the distribution of the marriage contract has been so skewed. According to the information VG has, several of the police lawyers have believed that the marriage agreement was so unreasonable that if it had been brought to court it could have been declared void.
Star attorney Mette Yvonne Larsen testified in April that she believes Tom Hagen would have been skinned in court if Anne-Elisabeth had challenged the marriage contract in a divorce.
According to Kapital, Tom Hagen should be good for September 2020 for two billion crowns. When Anne-Elisabeth Hagen disappeared on October 31, 2018, she was said to be worth NOK 1.7 billion.

The latest tax figures available for Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, from 2018, show a taxable income of 273,000 crowns and a fortune of 172,000.
There is currently a total clash and mistrust between Tom Hagen, the three adult children and the police. Neither Hagen nor the children want to appear in new interrogations.
A man in his 30s is also an accessory to the case. Formally, he is accused of complicity in aggravated prison. He denies any involvement in the case.
