The outgoing Trump administration is training the transfer of power to election winner Joe Biden. The custom is for the incoming president to receive daily intelligence and security briefings (PDB), the same as the incumbent president.

The winner of Biden’s election has yet to be formally recognized as the winner by the General Services Administration and, according to CNN, it is unclear if this is necessary before the briefings take place. Biden himself says that it could have been useful to get such transfers, but that it is not necessary.
Lankford does not question Trump’s legal right to use the judiciary to question whether the elections went well, and says he can ensure that the transfer of power will take place in a peaceful manner.
