– The infection is explosive in the rest of Europe. That worries me a lotJohansen said on Politisk kvarter in NRK on Monday morning.

– This means that what matters is not only how we exercise infection control here in Oslo or here in Norway. Being able to reduce infections from imports will be extremely important in the coming weeks, he continued.

Oslo presents a package of new local measures at 2pm on Monday. But the city council leader is also asking the government to take action. He points out that many planes arrive in Norway every day from Poland, where the infection is now very high.

– There is poor control, there are voluntary tests at airports. We know that many people work in small businesses. We know that there are many who work illegally. We know that they work in private homes. We know that knowledge of Norwegian is weak, in Johansen.

Espen Rostrup Nakstad, deputy director of the Norwegian Health Directorate, gives the town council leader the right to be affected by the outside world now.

– It is difficult to isolate yourself as an island in Europe when the infection rates go directly to the climate in all the countries around us.Nakstad said in Politisk kvarter.
