Polish President Andrzej Duda is in quarantine after a positive coronation test. He reports to his Secretary of State Błażej Spychalski.
According to Reuters, the president is reported to be in good shape.
Before the infection was diagnosed, Duda had a busy Friday. He welcomed Polish tennis star Iga Świątek, his father and Tomasz at the presidential palace.
The tennis star received an award after winning the French Open earlier this fall. Both Duda and the guests wore bandages and gloves when they greeted each other.
The president also managed to visit the temporary corona hospital built in the Polish National Stadium, before he himself had to be quarantined.
The president is photographed wearing the mask both during the tennis star reception and on the tour of the corona hospital.
The infection trend in Poland is increasing, with 13,632 new cases of infection registered on Friday according to the VG corona summary. They are almost 1,000 more than the previous day, and a new record of infections in the country.
In total, more than 220,000 people in Poland have tested positive for the coronavirus and more than 4,000 have died.
