Kjetil Kirk (27) never wanted to win. When it still got to the last week, it was too late to move.
On Tuesday, the adventure ended for the man from Oslo. Right after having crushed the big favorite Sindre Nyeng (23) in an ax throw, Kirk himself was knocked unconscious.
– It had to be that way. He hadn’t opened the farm book once. I mean, I read a little on the first page when we moved. It said in which week we should get washing powder. Then I was happy and closed the book, he tells VG.
– But when you got this far for the first time, why wasn’t it tempting to give the iron?
– I had fallen short anyway. It took too much time and effort to study the book. Sindre got up before the birds sang and read. I knew about the rams. I hadn’t had time to recover.
Kirk claims he was more interested in having fun on the farm than winning a cabin and a car.
– It may sound strange, but I hope people misunderstand me when I say that the first and foremost thing was to experience what it’s like to take a break from 2020 and see that both life and business persist. For me, it was more of a social project, he says.
– Coming home to crown hell was not tempting, so I enjoyed the 70 days. I came out 16 kilos lighter and with more tan on my body. I benefited from that.
But Kirk will never forget how many inches are in an inch, or what it actually is. exists snakes in Norway.
– No, I guarantee it, smile.
For Kirk, it was worse to hit the comrade than to smoke himself. But when Nyeng chose Kirk as the second champion, there was never an alternative to giving up without a fight.
– The victory over Sindre had a bitter taste. I should have been in the final, but I don’t lose on purpose. I have a lot of respect for others and for myself. But I would have taken it with a bigger smile if Sindre had won. It was a shame that I became the one who kept him awake, says Kirk.
Nyeng barely managed to get off the farm before Kirk had to do the same.
– Sindre was at the hotel and I had only had time to bathe before I rolled two hours behind him. He smiled and said, “I knew it.” I responded by saying, “You’re too stupid to throw an ax,” laughs Kirk.
Kirk proved that he is strong when it comes to. He is the one who in this year’s round has the most duels behind him. He also knocked out Jostein Grav (58) and Asle Kirkevoll (62).
– In that sense, I was undefeated, so I feel like I proved my place in the game. But it was just as good to smoke when I did, so I managed to get to the salon before the final, joke.
The others on the farm have said of Kirk that he has “soft eel.”
– They are right, in the sense that I was never a candidate for the first time. I got along with everyone and didn’t need alliances.
– Does anyone say you’ve been a little clever?
– The somewhat clever tactic is that I haven’t done the whole world, but have contributed to assignments. Although not the best resource, she worked in the kitchen and kept it clean and tidy.
Kirk and Wiktoria Rønning (22) got a good tone on the farm and started flirting when he too broke up. Today they are just friends.
– She is a great lady and I treat her very well. But I’m a simple, single guy myself, and as you can see in the first episode, I really like women, he laughs.
I have you? Here Kjetil Kirk is baptized on the farm.
Kirk admits that he receives a number of inquiries from viewers, including anonymous letters of praise in the mail.
– Now I have to try to seem a bit humble here, because I have not done it on television. But it’s no secret that you get a lot of attention when you’re on screen.
– Is there a lot going on on Tinder?
– First of all, it is a private matter, but as you are asking … There is a lot there, yes. These days you have to be careful with the crown, but I am available in the market. Simply “in play”, Kirk responds and adds:
– I am 27 years old and it is time to establish my adult life and finally start a family.
Before leaving the farm, Kirk told the TV camera that he had learned a lot about himself and that he was motivated to “take charge of his life in the real world.”
– What does that mean?
– The most important thing I have learned is that you work to live, not live to work. Now I leave more time for social things. I have become more patient with myself and with others. A better human being, simply.
In addition to working at Russedress, Kirk is manager of the record company Rolig Records. And soon he will be a driver. Raymond Røskeland (37) promised to make Kirk a machine operator if he took care of his clothes on the farm.
– You don’t say no to that, so now the theory test has been passed in Bergen. I only need 40 hours of practice before driving. I’ll take it to Raymond when I have time.
– In other words, you take and Petter Pilgaard?
– Single. It’s great when a west end ramp suddenly has a driver’s certificate.
– Do you think there will be more television?
– Television was never my vocation, but I don’t close the door. I like to act in “71 degrees north” or “Let’s dance,” laughs Kirk.
