Outside the dance

On Saturday there was a movie night in “Skal vi danse”, where the remaining eleven couples have stood out on stage with the music of some of the most famous films in the world. Elleville’s uprising, sturdy costumes, and quick steps impressed judges and viewers alike, but that still hasn’t changed the show’s run.

A contestant has to go out every week and based on the judge’s points, it soon became clear that Fred Buljo had possibly taken his last dance. He and his dance partner scored just 21 points for their “Matrix” inspired tango.

- Everything went black for me.

Synnøve Skarbø only got one more point for her “Annie” inspired fast stride, but since she wasn’t in danger of smoking last week, Buljo looked bad in the long run. No other couple after the ad break that received a lower score than the two participants mentioned above, who were between the points alone.

Just before 10 o’clock the confirmation came that it was Fred who had to leave the competition.

– I’m fine. After all, it is Saturday. I’ve had a wonderful journey and done things with my body that I didn’t know I could do, he said.

To See and Hear, the artist says he obviously thought it was a bit sad to have to leave the dance, but that was expected. He still says he is satisfied with the effort, and says the experience has given him more flavor.

– It should not be ignored that some dance will join KEiiNO in the future, smiles.

He reveals that they are currently working on their second album, and if they have a good enough song, they can sign up for MGP again. Music is and continues to be the main focus, although he also liked to dance.

When asked who he cheers for now, he quickly responds:

– I have had a very good tone with Thomas along the way, and so I encourage him a little more. But they are all very good and give their all.

He was in danger of escaping last week, but had no plans to make it easy for judges or spectators to send him home. In a magnificent tango, the couple showed their willingness and joy to dance.

– There was a lot of energy, drive and will. You dance well too, but a common mistake is that you don’t stand on your legs. Relatively good, but I don’t feel like cheering, Judge Merete Lingjærde said.

Not all went well when Filipenko went to give the couple his point. He gave five dollars, but took the graph that showed a three. It took him a while to figure it out himself, but he made the humor mistake.

Not expected

The eliminated contestant now ends up in the company of “Ex on the Beach” contestant Øystein Lihaug Solberg, who was the first to leave the competition.

– I did not expect. I’m not one of the worst at all so I think it was difficult to escape, he said after last week’s surprising outing.

Although it’s a shame another contestant is out of the dance, the past few weeks have also featured several highlights. Just on movie night, there were a lot of them. Andreas Wahl received many accolades, among others, for his animal rumba to the beat of “Can You Feel The Love Tonight.” He obtained the highest score of the night, 33 points.

Birgit Skarstein’s tango for “Roxanne” from “Moulin Rouge” also impressed the judges. She finished in a solid second place, with 31 points.

So far, “Skal vi danse” has offered many highlights, also from the first two broadcasts. We have seen, among other things, Birgit Skarstein being picked up by her dance partner Philip Raabe, which moved the room to tears.

They got the highest score on the first broadcast. On the second live broadcast, host Synnøve Skarbø also gave an impressive dance, especially considering that she danced with a rib injury.

She suffered that injury during training, which made the week “cheap.” She still managed to complete. Ski legend Thomas Alsgaard also managed to complete, but it was almost as if everything had gone wrong.

He admitted to Dagbladet that he had a blackout during the dance, which he does not recall doing.
