Experts agree that this season has been a roller coaster ride for Manchester United, but now they see signs of something big.

Wednesday night was a huge boost for Manchester United when German RB Leipzig fell 5-0 at Old Trafford in the group stage of the Champions League.

After victories against PSG on the road and now against the Germans at home, it may seem that Solskjær is in the process of getting used to a United side that struggled initially in the season.

Scholes: – He must have been terrified.

When the Norwegian and his team lost 1-6 to Tottenham at home earlier this season, many thought the end was near for Solskjær as the Premier League club’s manager. Now everything looks so much brighter again.

– After the Tottenham game, Ole must have been terrified. He had to make the team more solid and by using two men in front of the defender, he has succeeded, says former United midfielder, now television expert, Paul Scholes according to the Daily Mail.

– And if we look at what is happening further down the field, it is quality and speed. Bruno Fernandes with passing, Marcus Rashford, m Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood, they saw many fantastic attacking players, continues Scholes.

– Deeper than you can imagine

The former United star believes that Solskjær has now cracked a code with a view to how he will dispose of the players at his disposal.

– He has found a way to play that suits the team he has, says Scholes.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Rio Ferdinand notes that things are changing rapidly in football and that he now sees more continuity in what Solskjær is doing.

– The highest peaks are very high, while the deepest valleys are deeper than you can imagine. They have been taken by the neck and the lower number of injuries has been key after the games against Crsytal Palace and Tottenham, says Ferdinand in the BT Sports study.

– width

Ferdinand is impressed by how wide Solskjær now has in the barn.

– What I see now is a width. Players enter to influence matches. Rashford comes in, Fernandes comes in and it becomes crucial, he says.

Four of United’s five goals in Wednesday’s game came towards the end of the second half. Mason Greenwood had given the hosts the lead in the first half.

Substitute Marcus Rashford scored three times while Anthony Martial scored a penalty on goal and ensured it was a solid victory for the home team.
