Norwegian sports stars have been recruited by Mats Zuccarello (32) and Bjarte Myrhol (37) to contribute funds to their own “crisis package”. Here, children and young practitioners can seek financial support during a difficult time.
Mats Zuccarello and Bjarte Myrhol are concerned about sport in the crown crisis. They fear that children and young people will lose the opportunity to participate in their leisure activities if they or their parents will not be able to pay the participation fees, fees and the purchase of equipment.
– The basis of the campaign is the fear that even more children will be left on the sidelines, without experiencing the great joy and community that comes from sport and activity, says Mats Zuccarello.
– What is behind the strong commitment to children and youth?
– Children are the future. They are also the most vulnerable and unlearned. I am very interested in involving everyone in the activity and socializing. One does not do this to shape athletes, but to shape people. – Seeing their role models together in such an initiative gives hope to all children and youth in Norway who are aware of the need for their sport.
