– we are too nice
But while some have criticized both individual players and national team manager Lars Lagerbäck, Rekdal opts to look at the bigger picture.
The former national team hero and current HamKam coach believes that Football-Norway in general has some codes to crack.
– There is no doubt that we are too nice in Norwegian football. We are good at many things, but we are too kind, says Rekdal.

He believes that one needs to investigate why the national team repeatedly manages to knock down the hurdle when it really matters.

But it’s not just the showdown against Serbia that frustrates the former national team hero.
Rekdal claims that Norway has failed to qualify for a European Championship final.
– Almost all of Europe must participate in the European Championships. Only bottom mud is not included: the Faroe Islands, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Norway.
