Even without the big flow with the putter, Kristoffer Ventura (25) delivered another good round and is really in the winning battle ahead of the final round of the PGA Sandersons Farm Championship tournament.

The Norwegian is now just one shot behind the leader before the final round, having passed Saturday’s round four strokes below par.

– Today I had to be patient. I didn’t put as many putts as I normally do, so it was nice to put the last hole and finish in style, Ventura says in an interview with the organizer.

Only Sergio Garcia, JT Poston and Cameron Davis are ahead of Ventura before the final round.

– It’s like everyone says, you have to hit one blow at a time. For me, it is more mental. If I do my best then that is the best I can do and I can sleep well no matter what happens tomorrow. That’s the way I’ve approached the game over the past few months and it’s really paid off, Ventura says.

Kristoffer Ventura was in a shared fifth place before the third round of the Sandersons Farms Championship, and he again delivered an impressive game in Saturday’s round.

Already on hole 1 came the first birdie, and followed with a new birdie on hole 3. After some good birdie attempts, he had to see that today’s first bogey arrived on hole 9, but Ventura hit hard.

On the 10th hole, he birdied from just over 50 feet, followed by a new birdie on the next hole.

The Norwegian had several good birdie opportunities in the final seven holes, but had a hard time making it a birdie and had to wait until the 18th hole to be able to birdie again. With that, the round ended four shots under par, 68 shots. Ventura has been very stable in the first three rounds, with rounds of 67, 68 and 68 hits.

– Look at that ending then! Birdie at last, so good to take with you, Eurosport commentator Per Haugsrud said as the birdie putt fell on the 18th hole.

The final round will be broadcast on Eurosport 1 starting at 10pm, where the winner will take around 11 million NOK.

Ventura delivered his best performance on the PGA Tour: – Absolutely beautiful

Ventura has performed well on the PGA Tour since the start of the season three weeks ago, posting his career-best PGA Tour result at the Safeway Open, where he finished in a split seventh place.

If he is victorious in the final round on Sunday, he will be the second Norwegian to win the PGA Tour. Viktor Hovland (23) became the first to win the Puerto Rico Open in February, but if Ventura wins this week’s tournament, it will be by far the biggest victory for a Norwegian male golfer.

With a superior position, Ventura will also have secured a very good start in the FedEx Cup, where the top 125 hold the “card” on the PGA Tour. Ventura is currently 24th after three tournaments and has a good chance of being in the top ten, which will ensure a very good starting point for the remainder of the season.
