Training and television profile Jørgine “Funkygine” Massa Vasstrand can laugh all the way to the bank. For the second year in a row, it has more than doubled its income.
In 2019, he earned just over 4.2 million crowns, reports local newspaper MittJessheim, which verified Vasstrand’s credit through the Bisnode service, before the tax lists were released on Tuesday.
This means an increase of 211 percent compared to 2018. Also from 2017 to 2018, it doubled its income, from NOK 443,197 to NOK 1,354,850.
The revenue growth comes in a year in which the influencer has published several books, both training and cooking. 2019 was also the year that the television series “Funkyfam” began to roll on Norwegian television screens.
In addition, it has held various types of events, including “Funkygine challenge 2019”, where 1,500 people participated.
Money also comes from social media. “Funkygine” has around 620,000 followers on Instagram.
– It will be different now
It is likely that the turnover has not increased that much this year, as the corona pandemic, among other things, has brought an end to the planned event “Funkygine Challenge 2020”, in addition to several training trips.
– 2020 seemed to be an extension of 2019, before the coronavirus arrived. But everything will be different now, the training profile told VG in early May.
The background to the interview was that 2019 was a peak year for the influencer’s company, Nordic Lifestyle, which ended with a turnover of NOK 7.4 million in 2019.
In the interview, he claimed that he withdrew NOK 1.5 million in salary from the company last year.
– I have worked harder than ever in 2019 and I am very satisfied with the result. It is the result of hard work and good teamwork with my management. I feel like my brand has become clearer and reaches an even wider audience, Vasstrand said.
