Molde punished Brann: – Raptured where you want to live for life – VG

BERGEN (VG) (Brann-Molde 1-2) After three defeats in a row, Molde finally let loose. Kåre Ingebrigtsen’s Brann continues the bad trend and is winless in five games.

The last time Brann and Molde met, Kåre Ingebrigtsen sat in the stands and followed the team he had just signed for. The Bergen side took a strong away win, but with Ingebrigtsen on the bench, there has only been one win in six games. On Sunday night, the line was expanded to one in seven.

– It’s an even game, although Molde is the one with the most ball in the first half. We talk about Molde being good in the restructuring phase, and when we have a solid opportunity, they go up and score. We can’t blame anyone but ourselves, and we must keep working, says Brann’s coach, Kåre Ingebrigtsen.

The last four of the Eliteserien had finished without three points, nor did Brann manage to beat a weak Molde.

The guests were the dominant team in Bergen, and after a waste of sizeable chances, they finally managed to put up the knockout five minutes before the end. Ruben Kristiansen became the unfortunate sinner when he hit the ball into his own goal.

– It’s a shame that we put the ball in our own goal, we also failed to put the ball in the goal on our own occasions. Then there will be zero points, says Ingebrigtsen.

Ohi Omoijuanfo had several scoring chances and was relieved to be able to carry three points to Rosenes.

– I feel like we completely dominate. We create the biggest and most opportunities, and it’s really sick that we don’t take any more to rest. We don’t establish our chances, but we get them in the end. Of course it is fortunate, but well deserved, believes the forward.

Two goals in two minutes were the accounts after the first half. Brann had a great opportunity with Daouda Bamba, but was brutally punished by Molde in the ensuing attack. Eirik Hestad flipped the ball off the crossbar and it was 0-1 at Brann Stadium.

A minute later, the Brann striker took revenge. A beautiful stick from Fredrik Haugen sent Bamba through alone against Andreas Linde, and this time the shot was fine-tuned.

Molde had several great opportunities and should and should have taken a break from the lead. They continued the pressure after the break and especially Ohi Omoijuanfo couldn’t believe his eyes when one opportunity after another ended up outside the goal.

Five minutes before the end, they were rewarded for their efforts.

He was even at the top for a long time between Molde and Bodø / Glimt, but after the loss to the yellow jerseys at the end of July, it can seem like the air went out of the balloon a bit. Because the Moldanos have shown deplorable form over a long period of time, with up to seven losses in the last ten games.

In the middle of the week, the pain worsened when the dream of the Champions was broken. Erling Moe’s men suffered three straight losses in the Elite Series before the game in Bergen, but got a long-awaited rebound in Bergen.

– This was the answer we were looking for. When you do this, there is a big difference between victory and defeat. The feeling you have left is as far away as possible. When you lose, it’s like experiencing the worst love pain you can, and when you win, you’ve taken the one you want to live for life. There’s a big difference, laughs Molde coach Erling Moe after the game.

For Molde, it will all be about qualifying again for Europe. Then they depend on finishing in the top three in the Elite Series this season. To reach that goal, Molde must start winning soccer games. After the victory over Brann, they move up to 2nd place, ahead of Rosenborg and Odd who have played one game less.

– Molde has the ambition to be in Europe every year. So this was a good start, thinks Moe.

– We will have second place, says Omoijuanfo.
