Molde faces Arsenal, Rapid Wien and Dundalk in the Europa League this fall. CEO Ole Erik Stavrum believes that Molde has good opportunities to leave that group.

Molde drew in Group B in the group stage of the Europa League this fall. There they meet Arsenal, among others.

The other two teams in the group are Rapid Wien of Austria and Irish Dundalk. Mold was the seed on level three. See all groups at the bottom of the case.

– It was really an illusion for us. As I recall, it is the first time that we meet a team from England, it will be fun with a team as good as Arsenal that has such a big name, Ole Erik Stavrum tells VG and continues:

– We are also in a group that makes it very interesting from a sporting point of view for us. The group we can pass from.

– Will you prioritize Europe over the Elite Series this fall now that Bodø / Glimt has gained such a huge lead?

– No, we will prioritize both. The national series is very important for us to be able to play in Europe next year, and to establish ourselves in Europe we also work every day, to develop clubs and players, Stavrum responds.

El Molde came close to qualifying for the Champions League this season, but lost by the away goal rule after two games against Hungarian Ferencvaros, where Tokmac Nguen has impressed of late.
