Sand volleyball duo Anders Mol (23) and Christian Sørum (24) had a warm-up air for the match broadcast on VGTV against the Latvian duo.

5:00 p.m. on Thursday, VGTV broadcasts the game between Mol and Sørum and Latvian Samoilovs / Smedins. The match was played in Lofoten and could It has been a possible Olympic final, but the games have been known to be postponed due to the corona pandemic. Jan Kvalheim comments on the match.
Before the game, Mol and Sørum climbed to the top of Svolværsgeita at 569 meters above sea level to play together. You can see how it went in the video.
– It was scarier than I thought, we had to go up. But we wanted to scare the Latvians, says Mol with a twinkle in his eye before his partner Sørum adds:
– He was completely ill. It was cold and very down. When we first got up, it was a lot more bumpy than we thought. We thought it would be impossible, but it turned out very well. And with the sight and all the experience, he got really sick, he says.

Mol and Sørum are ranked number one in the world and have topped the list for two years. The Latvian duo are the winningest team of all time and have topped the world rankings several times.
Actually the plan was to have the Latvian duo play against each other at the top, but the Latvians had to give up halfway.
– Why do you choose to climb so high to play volleyball?
– We thought it would be a good Norwegian publicity and we wanted the spectacular of volleyball, that you can keep that volleyball anywhere, responds Mol.
Last season Mol and Sørum finished third in the WC and won the EC. This year, no matches have been played in the world series due to the pandemic, but next week the two will participate in a tournament in the Netherlands. The following week is the European Championship, and these are the only tournaments that beach volleyball players will play this year.
