The World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday gave emergency approval to the coronary vaccine, which has been developed by Pfizer and Biontech and is already in use in several countries.

The approval paves the way for countries around the world to quickly begin importing and distributing the vaccine.

This is the first time the WHO has approved a COVID-19 vaccine since the pandemic broke out a year ago, the organization said in a statement on New Year’s Eve.

The vaccine has already been approved in the EU, the UK, the US, and several other countries. Norway started using the vaccine last Sunday.
