Martin Ødegaard (21) has really started his A-team career with Real Madrid. So far, there are many indications that the Norwegian is capable of carrying his own weight at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

«Good, Martin, good! It is a cry that you have heard regularly in the Valdebebas training ground ».

This is how storavisen AS begins his article on Martin Ødegaard’s entry into Real Madrid’s A-Team this season.

– Made a bit of an impression

The newspaper, which follows the club closely, believes that the 21-year-old Norwegian has simply greatly impressed his worthy teammates.

AS writes that the Norwegian has been so good at training that both head coach Zinedine Zidane and the other players have accepted him for a long time.

– It has made a small impression, writes AS.

When we will see Ødegaard in action for Real Madrid is currently somewhat uncertain. It has recently become clear that the Norwegian has struggled with the “jumping knee” knee injury.

In recent weeks we have seen images of the young man training in the Spanish capital, but he also had to appear for international matches against Austria and Northern Ireland.

– Companions surprised by physics

AS writes that it was a conscious decision by Ødegaard that he would rather work to get his knee in order than travel to the national team meeting.

– It was a move that was well received by the club’s coaching staff, who see it as a sign of Ødegaard’s commitment to the cause, AS writes.

THE PAST AND THE FUTURE? Sergio Ramos has been a profile of Real Madrid for years. Now Martin Ødegaard will soon be able to take over.

The hope for the national team leadership is that Ødegaard will be ready for the games against Serbia in October. The next few weeks with series matches or not for the Norwegian will be decisive.

According to AS, the 21-year-old is doing his best to seize the opportunity Real Madrid and Zidane have given him this season.

Before the A-team reunited, Ødegaard must have voluntarily started the race a few weeks earlier in a “high-performance training center”, so that the physique was optimized before the race started.

– What has really stood out from Ødegaard’s colleagues is the physical form in which he is, writes AS.

– Positive for those who want to see Martin

La Liga expert Petter Veland believes a lot of eyes are on Martin Ødegaard next season.

Due to the crown situation, the season is even more compressed than it usually is, and that’s good news for those hoping to see Ødegaard a lot on the field.

– Considering what the risk of injury is if you lead the Predators on the supposedly better eleven, for me it is quite clear that Zinedine Zidane must and will rotate even a little more than he would in a normal season. It’s positive that way for those who hope to see as much of Martin in white as possible, Veland tells Nettavisen.

Veland believes it will be important for Ødegaard to address opportunities this season if he wants the Real Madrid adventure to continue.

– I think next season now will be quite crucial, Veland tells Nettavisen.

He points out that Ødegaard has a contract with Real Madrid that is valid until 2023 and that it will be natural to discuss the player’s future at the club after the season.

Building on Real Madrid’s previous operations, he believes that after the season they will reach a crossroads where they either decide to bet on the Norwegian for several years or look for other alternatives.

Real Madrid have not responded to Nettavisen’s query about Ødegaard’s injury situation.

In Spain, La Liga kicked off this weekend, but Real Madrid won’t be in action until next. Then the whites meet the Royal Society of Ødegaard.
