Today, Princess Märtha Louise turns 49. As a birthday present, she received a surprise visit from her boyfriend Durek Verrett.
– I love surprises. And the best surprise was that you showed up on my birthday, write on Instagram with a photo of her and Durek.
She also writes that they have not seen each other in six months due to the corona pandemic.
– It has been very challenging, but still beautiful, to see how we have gained a deeper bond and understanding with each other, even though we have not seen each other, writes Princess Märtha.
Verrett can enter Norway despite travel restrictions, as it is open to people visiting his girlfriend in Norway. The relationship must then be documented by a self-declaration signed by the reference in Norway, writes the UDI.
– One of the things that the crown period has shown me is that humans are tougher than we think and we can achieve everything, but it is better when we have been loving with ourselves.

The last time the two met is said to have been in March, when Princess Märtha surprised Verrett in America, just before Norway’s travel restrictions went into effect.
– He literally flew around the world to see me before his country closed its borders. Just to see me sooner is no longer possible, if only for two days. Those were the best two days of my life and that of my family. I cried like a child when I was surprised, Verrett wrote on Instagram at the time.
