Kyle Walker (30), Gabriel Jesus (23) and two members of Manchester City’s support team tested positive for crown.
On the 2nd of Christmas, Manchester City play at home against Newcastle in the Premier League. It will be without striker Jesús, and without Walker. They are now isolated after passing positive tests for COVID19, the club reports on its website.
The two people from the support apparatus are not named. Neither have the two players been reported to have any other symptoms in addition to the positive test.
“All four will now have a period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and British government guidelines. Everyone at the club wishes our teammates a quick improvement over the Christmas period before they return to work, training and school. fight ”, says in a statement from the club.

Jesus played from the start and scored a goal against Arsenal in the league cup on Tuesday night. The forward was substituted after 74 minutes. Walker started on the bench but was substituted in the 77th minute.
Manchester City are eighth in the Premier League, eight points behind league leaders Liverpool, who have played one more game. On Monday, December 28, Manchester City plays Everton away.
Walker and Jesus will likely miss the Chelsea meeting on January 3 as well, but according to Sky Sports they may reach the league cup semi-final against Manchester United three days later.
