SKIEN (VG) – It looks like a North Korean show, coach Odd Jan Frode Nornes (47) smiles when he sees the very special photo of the VG team, taken at the Skagerak Arena on Thursday in the life of the crown.

– Chest forward, Biljal, call Odds’ new head coach. Fredrik Semb Berge is curious to know what VG is doing, Fredrik Nordkvelle just smiles …

VG has come to Skien to take a very special team photo, by Odds Ballklubb. The boys are supposed to wear suits, like in a regular team photo, but now they must be separated: two meters between each player, both horizontally and vertically.

– An image of the team in time, adds coach Nornes, and promises that the image will be hung in the stadium, as a reminder of a very special moment, also for soccer players.

Around here there are two meters of distance between the players, in what later becomes the most extensive, in the area, the image of the team in history.

Here you can see more photos of VG’s visit to the Skagerak Arena:

– Very special, Captain Steffen Hagen smiles, where he stays away from his playmates. Like most of the others, Hagen and Odd have done what they can based on a very difficult and unfamiliar situation.

– We have tried to be positive, we have made the most of the situation in which we suddenly ended. There was some control at first, there was some disagreement on how to resolve this. But now we feel it’s the same for everyone, that we compete on a level playing field, says team captain Odds.

How have you experienced the situation?

– A very special situation for all of us, but it is clear: there are others who have greater challenges than soccer players. It’s about looking at the big picture, seeing the perspective this brings, where many lose a lot and sacrifice even more, says Steffen Hagen.

At Odds BK they talk about the situation and also challenge the coaches, about creativity. Nornes and his team of coaches ended up in a strange situation when, after being temporarily employed, they ended up in the crown situation as soon as they got the job permanently.

– A little bit special yes, it was, says Jan Frode Nornes, who was an assistant to Dag-Eilev Fagermo at Odds BK for 12 years, and got the job he wanted when Fagermo went to Vålerenga this winter.

Efforts are being made to find good exercises for the players, which are related to the game, but at the same time require the players to keep their distance.

– We hope, of course, that the season starts soon and that we play an entire season. The question is whether there is only hope or is it realistic. We don’t know anything about that at the moment, says team captain Steffen Hagen, who says that no one in Odd has been ill.
