Maci Currin (17) from Texas was announced last week as the world record holder for long legs by the Guinness Book of Records.
The 17-year-old, who according to Guinness World Records measures 208 centimeters in the average, currently holds two records: she will be the woman and the teenager with the longest legs in the world.
They measure 135.3 and 134.3 centimeters, respectively, and represent 60 percent of the total body length.
In a video posted on the Guinness World Records YouTube channel, Currin says he has experienced negative reactions to his height.
– I finally stopped caring about what people thought of me. When I did that, nothing was affecting me anymore, he says.
Although the height comes with its practical challenges, it has its advantages for the 17-year-old who plays for the school’s volleyball team.
In the future, he dreams of going to university in the UK and has set out to use his height to break another record; to become the tallest professional model in the world.
