Arsenal 0-3 Liverpool (0-0)
It was a great opportunity at the Emirates on Saturday night. But then it really caught fire.
After just four minutes on the field, Diogo Jota put Liverpool in the lead. Trent-Alexander Arnold hit a fantastic post that found the Portuguese’s forehead.
From close range, he was not wrong and put Liverpool in a well-deserved lead. Just five minutes later, Bernd Leno again had to pull a new ball from the net.
– Very very important. We had to keep going while we finished. Two wins in a row and clean sheets. Today came another victory and another clean sheet, Jota tells TV 2 after the game.
– Finally we establish the possibilities. Obviously this was important to us, says coach Jürgen Klopp after the match.
– The Arsenal are extras. It’s slippery as an eel, Salah. He’s so smart, and he’s so rude of Mohamed Salah, exclaimed TV2’s Kasper Wikestad as the Premier League’s top scorer went on to make it 2-0 for Liverpool.
Jota wasn’t finished. Just over ten minutes before the end, Liverpool rolled very well. The ball eventually ended up in the hands of Jota, who rose to 3-0, and cleared all doubts about where the points should end.
Domesticated opening
Liverpool had a golden opportunity to start the dream deal. Sadio Mané entered, Roberto Firmino had to leave the fray. Unfortunately for the visiting team, the pass was inaccurate.
The eternal James Milner was going to appear at the first opportunity of the match. Firmino was lucky with the ball, and finally the ball fell into the hands of Milner, who tried his luck from 20 meters. The goal went a few meters to the side for a goal.
The first quarter went smoothly, but the visiting team managed to put pressure on Arsenal, who had enough to defend themselves.
After 34 minutes, Milner had a great opportunity. Trent-Alexander Arnold reached the dead line and found Milner only at 45 degrees. From 16 meters, the Englishman only had to deflect it in the far corner, but the ball ended up on one side for a goal.
Despite Liverpool having the ball 66 per cent of the time, the first half ended goalless. Arsenal had only one ending during the first half. Something they haven’t had since 2015.
The second round continued as the first. Liverpool with a lot of ball and a deep-rooted Arsenal that struggled to get the ball.
Only after the hour played should the home team score its first shot on goal. Cedric, who came in for an injured Kieran Tierney just before half-time, tested Alisson in the Liverpool cage, but the Brazilian last chance had no trouble saving the shot.
The night of the substitute
After 60 minutes, Diego Jota replaced Andy Robertson. Just four minutes later he stabbed Liverpool in the lead.
Trent Alexander Arnold hit an excellent post and found Jota inside the area. The Portuguese, who scored three goals at half-time for the national team, had no trouble hitting the first goal.
Just five minutes later, the Premier League’s top scorer made it 2-0. Mohamed Salah stole the ball from Gabriel and was easily able to get the ball under Leno’s legs in the Arsenal cage.
Anonymous Ødegaard
The 22-year-old has shown good form lately, but the recent national team captain couldn’t do much, even though TV 2 viewers named him the best player on the field, who should be able to don the mantle of patriotism.
The Norwegian played the entire game with Arsenal.
