Amor Layouni (28) returns to Norwegian football. The Tunisian national team player will be introduced to Vålerenga in no time.

VG already announced a week and a half ago that the former Bodø / Glimt player reached an agreement with Vålerenga.

Now all the formalities are in order. If all goes well, with the caveat that the crown measures in Oslo do not delay the process, Layouni will arrive in the Norwegian capital on Monday and will present himself as VIF’s new star signing on Monday or Tuesday.

The process of signing the left has been complicated and long. First, the Swedish-Tunisian had to agree with his Egyptian club Pyramids FC on a final package. It is now in the box.

In addition to this, Vålerenga had to pay Pyramids a transfer fee. According to information from VG, VIF pays around three million crowns.

Layouni’s Egyptian salary was totally out of reach for Vålerenga, but thanks to the final package he received, the player accepted a hefty pay cut. From what VG understands, Layouni receives a salary of just over a million crowns.

Layouni signs an agreement that binds him to Vålerenga until 2023. In addition, he receives a signing bonus of one million crowns.

As VG understands, Layouni has long agreed with Vålerenga on what a deal could look like, but the final decision must have been made within the last week.

Sports manager Jørgen Ingebrigtsen in Vålerenga did not respond to VG’s questions, but even announced on the club’s Twitter account on Friday that fans could expect news over the weekend.

VG has tried in the last week to get Layouni to speak, but the player has not wanted to do interviews until his future is clarified.
