Gilbert Koomson (26) leaves Bergen and Brann in favor of Turk Kasimpasa.

This was confirmed by Kasimpasa on its website on Monday afternoon.

The transfer will become official just two days after VG announced that the 26-year-old was heading to Turkish football.

Earlier this week, VG met with Koomson and Brann’s sporting manager Rune Soltvedt. There they told about the noise that has developed recently. Koomson was aware that he wanted to leave the club, while Soltvedt himself said that they were working to sell the Ghanaian.

“I love Brann, I’ve been loyal, but now I want to go,” Koomson told Bergens Tidende earlier this month.

Now the deal is in order, but Brann has yet to confirm the transition itself.

There is also no official transfer fee set, but as far as VG knows, the transfer fee will be around five million crowns.

VG learned earlier this month that Turkish club Erzurumspor had made an offer for the winger. Then around three million, but this offer was rejected.

Koomson has signed a three-year contract with Kasimpasa.

Leave Brann and Bergen after two years. The 26-year-old disappears as Brann’s top scorer with eight hits this season. Among the scores we find this, when Brann secured points against Start:

Kasimpasa has started the 2020/21 season with one win and two losses in its first three matches. Last season they finished 12th.

VG has tried to contact Branns sporting director Rune Soltvedt, without success.
