John Carew to sell luxury apartment in London – E24

In 2010, then-Aston Villa player John Carew bought the then-new apartment at Battersea in London.

Now the former footballer will sell the luxury apartment for 2.5 million pounds, about 29.7 million crowns.

The 181 square meter apartment has three bedrooms, two balconies, three bathrooms and is located on the eighth floor facing the River Thames.

– It is an apartment from where you can contemplate the most emblematic river in the world from a beautiful outdoor area. You have a lot of space and you live to be close to the lives of people in the city, real estate agent Ali Khadir of real estate company Nest Seekers tells E24.

– Here you can live the luxurious life without “breaking the bank,” he says.

During the time Carew has owned the apartment, home prices in the Battersea district have risen by 78 percent, according to the British real estate company Foxtons.

John Carew declined to comment on the sale of the apartment.

– We do not discuss customer details and I cannot comment on anything related to the seller, says Khadir.

He thinks the £ 2.5 million price suggestion in today’s market is appropriate.

– It is a good time to sell as the market is now in London. In terms of price, I think the apartment is exactly where it should be, says Khadir.

– Foreign buyers flock to London

The London estate agent hopes the apartment will sell easily and has already reported strong interest in the luxury apartment.

– In London you never know. The buyer may be young or old, but I assume it is someone who knows the area well or is an international buyer, says Khadir.

– An apartment like this is aimed at many international buyers. Foreign buyers flock to London, either because they want to invest their money in the growing property market here, they want to take advantage of the weakness of the British pound, for tax benefits or because they want a vacation home here, she says.

The district boasts of the real estate agent in the clouds.

– Battersea is “booming” if you don’t want to be in the middle of the noise of the city. You can pay three times as much to live downtown, or you can go ten minutes to Battersea, where it’s quiet and you get more for your money, he says.

Apartment for sale in Sørenga with 9 million profit

The London apartment is not the only one that Carew has recently launched on the market.

At the end of June, John Carew sold one of his penthouses in Sørenga for NOK 29.3 million, which gave the exemplary soccer player a profit of more than NOK 9 million. The price per square meter ended at DKK 222,000 per square meter.

– I believe with great certainty that it is the highest price reached east of Akerselva, announced celebrity broker Hans Houeland after the sale.
