Joe Biden, the future president of the United States, had announced in advance that he would present the appointments of several key people in his future administration on Tuesday.
This happened during an event in Wilminton, Delaware.
– The United States wants to strengthen alliances in the Asia-Pacific region. The United States will not participate in unnecessary conflicts. America is back, ready to lead the world, not get away from it. This is a team that reflects that, says Joe Biden.
As already confirmed, Antony Blinken will be the new Secretary of State of the United States.

– It already has a large network around the world, something that its predecessors have been building for many years, it is ready from day one, says Biden.
At the same time, Alejandro Mayorka’s Biden will be the head of the Ministry of Security. Mayorkas will be the first with a Latin American background to fill the position.
– This is one of the most demanding roles in the country. It will ensure security both domestically and abroad, and help rebuild our immigration system. I am proud that this ministry is being led by an immigrant for the first time, says Biden.

Former CIA director and national security adviser Avril Hines will be Biden’s nominated intelligence director. She will be the first woman to hold such a high position in American intelligence.

– She’s highly qualified. I’ve worked with her for ten years and she’s done so much, she’s fabulous, says Biden.
Former Secretary of State John Kerry will serve as America’s special envoy for climate change.
– This position is new, but I think it is very important. It shows that we take climate change seriously, both for the United States and for the world, says Biden.
Biden emphasizes that climate change is the most important challenge facing the world today.
At the same time, Linda Thomas-Greenfield becomes a UN ambassador.

The appointments underscore Biden’s goal for greater diversity. The US authorities have lagged far behind in that area.
– These people will participate in the fight against the challenges we face: terrorism, pandemic and a host of other threats. They will restore America’s position on foreign policy, says Joe Biden.
Biden also emphasizes that the fight against climate change will be very important in the future.
