– Jan is treated as a deserter from a cult.

Trond Giske takes a hard line against the attacks that party colleagues have joined after Labor veteran Jan Bøhler joined the Center Party on Thursday. On Friday Raymond Johansen (Labor Party) arrives with a new attack.

– It is very sad that Jan Bøhler has resigned from the Labor Party. At the same time, it’s bad to see comments that Jan is treated as a cult defector, writes Trond Giske in a Facebook post on Friday night.

This generated strong reactions from several key Labor Party politicians when Jan Bøhler announced on Thursday morning that he was switching to the Center Party.

– But how long do they stay when they see the harsh tone that is used against both party colleagues and others? If we don’t support each other, we can’t expect voter support either. A generous and inclusive people’s party must treat people with generosity and inclusion, writes Giske.

But on Friday, another of Bøhler’s former party mates arrives with an attack:

APS city council leader in Oslo Raymond Johansen says Jan Bøhler did not contact him or answer questions and was rarely present at party meetings.

– At one point I wondered if I should send you a missing person message, says Johansen in an interview with VG.

Bøhler left the Labor Party on Thursday and moved to the Center Party, where he will top the list in Oslo in next year’s parliamentary elections. The Storting politician is known for his strong commitment to the eastern edge of Oslo and has been actively involved in debates about gang crime and social control.

But Johansen believes that Bøhler has not used the channels he has in politics to promote issues and proposals.

According to the city council leader, Bøhler has not called him or answered questions and, to a very small extent, has attended meetings in local councils, county councils and in the parliamentary group.

– It seems as if Jan thinks that the role of the ombudsman is simply to talk to people, without giving back what people are talking about, without attending party meetings, without being particularly active in the Storting, says Johansen.

Bøhler confirms that he has given higher priority to “outside work” in recent years. She points out, among other things, that she has been involved in night owls, sports and the LIM (Gender Equality, Integration, Diversity) organization.

– I get several inquiries to meet every day and try to find time to queue It provides knowledge on topics and proposals that I can follow in the Storting in the next round, she tells the newspaper.

– The parties do not exist by themselves, but to be a tool for the voters. The Center Party has said that it wants to support and promote, and that means a lot to me.
