The world-famous magician and skeptic, who according to the Washington Post turned 92, dedicated his life to revealing what he describes as charlatans and con artists.

For 25 years, Randi has offered a million dollars to anyone who can prove they possess supernatural abilities. Those who register can decide the test scheme themselves. The only requirement is that the test be carried out under controlled conditions. Hundreds have been tested over the years, but the account remains intact.

– So far no one has managed to prove they have paranormal abilities, said James Randi when he last visited Norway in 2011.

– It could be because they don’t have those skills or something went wrong that day, he joked with NTB.

During lectures in Norway, he entertained the audience by taking an overdose of homeopathic sleeping pills. He chewed on a whole glass, without it having a visible effect on the performance on stage.

– I just took a lethal dose of homeopathic sleeping pills. I think I’ll make it through the night, but I’ll never be sure, he joked, according to Friday’s minutes Tanke.
