Nate Kahungu got another chance on “Skal vi danse”, got 40 points from the judges and continued on Saturday’s broadcast.

Two contestants quit smoking at Saturday’s “Skal vi danse” after voting problems last week, where “Love Island” profile Nate Kahungu (24) smoked, but returned to the competition after of voting problems.

On Saturday, he took cruel revenge and was rewarded with a full pot (40 points) by the judges.

It helped that the 24-year-old escaped the dance duel, which this time was between Siri Kristiansen, Michael Andreassen and Agnete “Agnetesh” Huseby. In the end, it became clear that it was Agnete Husebye and Siri Kristiansen who had to leave the competition.

– It’s hard to escape, but it wasn’t a shock, really. Of course, it is sad and uncomfortable to leave the competition. It has been our daily life for two months, Husebye tells VG.

Did you see this? Birgit Skarstein got a full pot at “Skal vi danse” last Saturday:

The pair received just 22 points from the judges on Saturday and 50 points in total from last weekend’s points.

– The odds were worse now. Usually there are 50-50 chances to go ahead, whereas now it was a third possibility. In that sense, the odds weren’t entirely on our side, says dance partner Bjørn Wettre Holth.

However, they won’t blame the voting problems this past weekend.

– There is something about the fact that we cannot focus on what we cannot do anything about. What is in our hands is the dance, the rest is not with us, says Holthe.

Siri Kristiansen tells VG that she is not very disappointed after leaving the show.

– No, not really. I am happy with the dance and the result feels fair and dramaturgically good. And when you have to break up for the first time, it’s good to do it with someone. The duel was not about who lost, but who won, he believes.

This week, TV 2 has been very vigilant about any new issues after last weekend’s issues.

– We have received some comments that people have had problems voting through the application, but we have checked carefully and it is a matter of a low number and has not had any effect on the result, says the TV press manager 2, Jan- Petter Dahl to VG.

VG spoke to Nate Kahungu during the break after receiving a full pot from the judges:

– It is incredibly beautiful to show this dance, of that I am most proud. To show the message. Points are an advantage, the message is the most important.

The message to the 24-year-old was that many still believe that racism does not exist.

– That was what we wanted to achieve with the Hkeem song. How minorities experience racism. Even if it doesn’t happen to the same extent as in other countries, it’s not okay. That is the most important.

– How did you feel in your body?

– I’ve felt it in the way that being black means you can go to a store and be chased by security guards. Or someone move on the bus. Messages on social networks. It’s hidden under a chair because people don’t yell about it. And now I’m in a position where I can prove it, he says.

Y:

– It’s not like I passed out three years ago. In a grotesque way you get used to it. Many people expect it to be the way it is, but it is not. Collected as a unit, we are very tired. We are not the ones who will accept that fight, because we are not the ones who promote racism.

This is how it was on Saturday night:

Mars Bratberg and his dance partner Benjamin Jayakoddy were the first to leave.

– This is how we want the first dance. Very good! Maybe it was a little too static, said dance judge Egor Filipenko after they completed their dance show.

The duo were awarded 33 points on Saturday, and also took 36 points with them from last Saturday.

Birgit Skarstein and her dance partner Philip Raabe were rewarded 36 points in Saturday’s broadcast, and they also took 40 points from the latter. Judge Tore Pettersson gave the couple ten points.

– Tears came to my eyes for the first time in five years after starting in “Skal vi danse”. You showed that you were the same on the dance floor, he said on the show.

Former ski star Thomas Alsgaard and his dance partner Rikke Lund scored 26 points.

– I sat down and smiled. There was a side of Thomas that we haven’t seen. It’s about performing right there and you did it, Judge Trine Dehli Cleve said after Alsgaard and Rikke danced.

The same judge thought that Agnete “Agnetesh” and dance partner Bjørn Wettre Holthe have more to go on. They got only 22 points.

– I feel like maybe I would have had more development in show seven, it will be too confusing, he said.

– Tell your story with extreme empathy. This is exactly how hip hop should be, because I see you, Merete Lingjærde said after Nate and Helene Spilling had danced.

They were rewarded with four 10s and therefore 40 points.

– Good to see you, I realized. All the movements came from something. This was beautiful, Judge Tore Pettersson said after Siri Kristiansen danced with her dance partner, Tarjei Svalastog.

The pair scored 32 points on Saturday.

Michael Andreassen and his partner Ewa Trela scored 32 points, after finishing at the bottom of the judges’ point scale a week ago.

– He was absolutely king. Beautiful, I enjoyed it, Judge Egor Filipenko said later.

Physicist Andreas Wahl and dance partner Mai Mentzoni also impressed on the track and were the second couple to land a full pot on Saturday with four 10s.

– A beautiful choreography. The best I have seen in many years. This was the entire emotional register, Merete Lingjærde said after the dance.
