Israel thus becomes the first country to close again due to the corona pandemic.

On Saturday, more than 4,000 cases of infection were recorded during one day in Israel, Haaretz writes.
Increased infection
The measures will be implemented from Friday and will last for three weeks, also during the Jewish New Year.
Schools, hotels and restaurants are closing, as are most stores. There will also be movement restrictions, among other things, it will be forbidden to move more than 500 meters from your home except for absolutely necessary errands.

The new restrictions were approved after the number of new infection cases surged in recent weeks, prompting criticism of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s handling of the crown crisis.
Israel has so far recorded about 155,604 cases of infection and 1,119 corona-related deaths, according to the Worldometer survey.
Highest infection rate in one day
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Sunday the largest increase in new cases of coronary heart disease in the world in one day.
In the 24 hours from Saturday to Sunday, the WHO reported 307,930 new cases of coronary heart disease worldwide.
During the same period, 5,537 people died from the coronavirus, according to the WHO.
