Experts believe it is obvious that Mossad is behind the brutal assassination, but they doubt that the Iranians will dare to retaliate.
Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was brutally killed on a seven-mile highway outside Tehran last Friday. The attack has been condemned by many parties, including the EU and Russia.
Iranian state media claim Fakhrizadeh’s car was shot to pieces by remotely controlled machine guns mounted on top of a pickup truck. Other media write that it was a group of assassins that fired the many deadly shots.

Iran was quick to point the finger at Israel and warned of heavy retaliation. However, retaliation has yet to take place.
Israel denies being behind the attack.
A British security policy expert tells Nettavisen that it is obviously the Israeli intelligence service Mossad that is behind the bloody murder.
– I have no doubt that it was the Mossad who killed Fakhrizadeh last Friday. Dare I say it is obvious. First, this was not a “scientific” murder, but a political murder. Fakhrizadeh was a prominent Iranian nuclear scientist, and that is why he was liquidated, and not because his calculations and equations were wrong, Professor Anthony Glees of the University of Buckingham tells Nettavisen.
In that case, this is not the first time Mossad has been accused of liquidating Iranian nuclear scientists.

Glees points to two main reasons why he believes the Iranians will refrain from retaliating against the assassination.
“The Iranians will do nothing, partly because they fear Trump will destroy them and partly because they know that if they wait until January, Biden wants to reestablish talks with them,” he says.
– Fortunately, Trump’s defeat changes many things. And Netanyahu realized that this was his last chance to escape with his assassination strategy, he says.
– What these people do not understand is that killing people, even those who may have bad intentions, does not make the world safer. It can dissuade Iran from making atomic bombs and thereby strengthen security. I realize that.
