The president made the statement during a press conference at the White House on Thursday night, but did not provide a source for the accusation.
“I am not allowed to say that,” Trump said when asked about the details.
He said China has either failed to stop the virus or has deliberately chosen not to.
– They could have stopped him. China is a very advanced country, he said.
– What happened is terrible. If it was an accident or if it started by accident and if they continued with more, or if someone did something intentionally, Trump said.
American intelligence: not artificial
Earlier yesterday, US intelligence had concluded, contrary to the suggestion that China may have intentionally produced the corona virus.

– The intelligence community joins the broad scientific consensus that the covid-19 virus is neither man-made nor genetically modified, a statement from the director’s office said.
It is the director of National Intelligence, Richard Grenell, who has directed the research work on the theory of the origin of the coronavirus. He is responsible for coordinating operations in the 17 intelligence agencies of the United States.
The announcement also states that United States intelligence agencies “will continue to investigate all information and intelligence to determine whether the outbreak started after contact with infected animals or was the result of a laboratory accident in Wuhan.”
Hardly an accident in the lab
US Noncommercial Radio The US, NPR, has asked dozens of researchers if the coronavirus may have been accidentally spread from the internationally renowned Virology Institute in Wuhan. His answer is no.
- Scientists first had to find the virus in nature. The vast majority of bat viruses do not have the ability to infect humans. So it would be like winning the lottery.

Most likely, the virus has passed from bats to humans through an intermediate host.
The shellfish, which was illegally sold at the Wuhan animal market, has been a popular “scapegoat.” But it is by no means proven that it was the average host.
Tiger in New York infected
“The fact that the virus has infected a tiger at the New York Zoo shows how the virus can move between species,” Professor Stephen Turner told The Guardian.
The Nadia tiger at the Bronx Zoo was probably infected by a pet cat. She tested positive for the crown on April 5, but is on the road to recovery.

The tiger at the Bronx Zoo was infected by an employee who showed no signs of symptoms, he believes the zoo administration.
But Stephen Turner believes this is a sign that we still don’t understand how the virus is moving, and that it is too early to conclude that shellfish were the intermediate host.
Turner is head of the Department of Microbiology at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
Trump wants to punish China, anyway
Trump said in an interview with Reuters on Wednesday that China’s handling of the coronavirus shows that Beijing’s leadership “will do everything possible” to prevent his re-election in November.
The Washington Post has spoken to various sources saying that the Trump administration is now investigating opportunities to claim compensation or punish China for the way the country has handled the crown pandemic.
That process apparently is completely independent of what the country’s intelligence agencies think about the role of the Wuhan Laboratory in the outbreak.
Among the measures considered are these:
- Stop paying the debt that the United States has with China
- Cancel the immunity of the Chinese state. In other words, in practice, a US court. USA You can process lawsuits from the US state. USA
- Order federal authorities to purchase medications and medical devices made in the United States. It will hit hard on Chinese manufacturers.
