Friends Sjur Vatne Brean and Tord Kinge had to follow closely when they played Herman Flesvig. He made new comments on each take.
– It was fun. Herman is a really nice, down-to-earth guy who plays everyone. It’s hysterically funny, and you don’t even notice when the camera rolls and doesn’t. It was hard not to laugh, says Sjur Vatne Brean (20).
Brean is relevant with the second season of the NRK series “Rådebank” and the Viaplay series “Delete Me”. Otherwise, you have had several secondary roles. Among other things, he starred in the series “Blank” and the movie “Out and Stealing Horses.” He now also has a supporting role in the series “Atlantic Crossing” which premieres on October 25 on NRK.
On Friday, NRK released five of the ten new episodes of “First Time Service,” and this Friday there will be five new ones. On the show, comedian Herman Flesvig plays various characters he has created himself, and in January he set a viewer record with two pilot episodes of the comedy series.

The new episodes, which have not aired on linear TV, but only on NRK TV, have between 789,000 viewers and 890,000 viewers.
And the atmosphere during the filming of the series has obviously been good. Some of the actors have reported a lot of humor and that they got tired of the spasms of laughter.
Brean himself had a somewhat unique tactic to avoid laughter spasms on set.
– Inside my head I just had to think: “I hate you, Herman Flesvig.” You can probably see that in my eyes.

For Brean, it was great to play “First Time Service” for a number of reasons. Among other things, he plays with his friend Tord Kinge (20). The two went to Hartvig Nissen School together. They are now working together to create a magazine for Edvard Munch Senior High School.
Furthermore, they can officially say that they are part of Herman Flesvig, or of the character “Preben Lohrengrens”, group “Army boys”.
– I had no idea how big it would be. After the pilot episodes, there were several who yelled “army boys” and “Lillefitte” at me, says Brean.

Tord Kinge also thinks it was great to play with his friend, and not least to play against Herman Flesvig.
– He is extremely skilled and very personable. I learned a lot from recording. It was a good training to play well. My job on the show is to “serve” and plan for Herman to “crush,” he says.
Kinge has the main role in the second part of the “Nudes” series, which also aired on NRK. Also, he has several projects underway, but the “First Time Service” was something of a highlight.
– It was a couple of times that it was difficult, but you have to try. Because he said something new every time, and that’s when you laugh, right, when you don’t know what’s coming, says Kinge.

– I had to find a tactic eventually. I figured everything he said was super annoying.
“Does your friend say he must think he hates Herman Flesvig?”
– Yes, I did too.
The two young actors agree that a role in “The First Time Service” was a unique experience. Kinge says the lessons there are something he can always take with him further, while Brean reminds himself how big the whole concept has become:
– Now I have been part of “First Time Service”, I will always have been part of it, it is very cool. I think it’s kind of nice that such a silly series can be so great.
