– I had to try the best I could – VG

On Saturday night, the masked singers returned for a new round of “Maskorama.”

The theme of Saturday’s broadcast was “two lies and one truth.” Each participant counted three clues about themselves, but only one of them was true.

In the end, it was Puddelen who had to leave “Maskorama” after Saturday’s broadcast, and to the surprise of many, it was Mia Gundersen who hid behind the mask.

– Now you fooled us well, said the host Silje Nordnes.

– We should try to cheat a bit, says Gundersen.

Gundersen, who has a Western dialect, has in fact spoken with the Nordland dialect.

– If he had talked to Stavanger, everyone would have understood, he tells VG after the broadcast.

– Absolutely crazy

She says it has been a challenge to keep her participation a secret.

– I’m not very good at lying, he says.

But you fooled everyone! You also guessed VG, right?

– Yes of course! I had to try my best, he laughs.

Earlier this week, VG took a call to some of the celebrities many think they are with, including Gundersen. He said he hadn’t seen much on the show.

– It was absolutely crazy and very strange. I even know the whole crew. I could always watch them surround me and chuckle and laugh at me, she says.

I was in quarantine

Shortly before last Saturday’s show, word came that Puddelen had been quarantined and was therefore unable to perform.

– It was probably one of many who had been around someone infected. Then there was no chance. I was in quarantine and then I couldn’t go over those rules, he says adding:

– You can imagine if there would have been an infection in such a production. I didn’t want to be that person.

Gundersen took a covid-19 test last Friday and says he received a negative response on Monday.

– Luckily I hadn’t, and luckily I’m still on the show.

– I do not breathe

And while Gundersen is not unheard of for standing on stage, she says “Maskorama” has been a challenge.

– You have so little air. At first I had another solution and then I couldn’t breathe. It was absolutely horrible and I couldn’t sing. It was like being in a plastic bag, he says.

Poodle Costume thankfully made everything a little more comfortable.

He says it has been an experience he will never forget.

– I had a lot of fun, it’s been incredibly fun. I wish I could stay longer, but I can sing at home, he laughs.

Last week it was Fugleskremselet, or rather the leader of the Center Party, Trygve Slagsvold Vedum, who had to leave the competition. The previous Saturday, again, it was former handball player Susann Goksør Bjerkrheim who hid behind Gaupe’s suit.

So far, the show has attracted close to a million viewers per episode and has become a hot television show in recent weeks.

After Gundersen smoked, the remaining participants are Elgen, Vikingen, Trollet, Ravnen, and Enhjørningen.
