Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus. He was among Trump’s advisers before Tuesday’s presidential debate.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been admitted to Morristown Hospital, writes Twitter.

Christie was one of Trump’s advisers before Tuesday’s presidential debate.

The former governor writes that he feels fine and has only mild symptoms. The reason he’s in the hospital is to be safe, because he has asthma, he writes.

Christie confirmed she tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday afternoon Norwegian time.

She was one of more than 200 people who attended the ceremony in which Amy Coney Barrett was nominated for Supreme Court Justice on Saturday last week.

He wore no mask during the press conference and was photographed shaking hands and hugging other participants.

Eight of those who attended the ceremony in Rosehagen have been confirmed to be infected. Seven people who participated tested negative.

Among those infected after the ceremony is Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah. A video shows Lee hugging several people at the event.

They attended the nomination ceremony and so far have tested positive:

  • First Lady Melania Trump
  • John I. Jenkins, Director of the American University of Notre-Dame
  • Mike Lee, Senator from Utah
  • Thom Tillis, Senator i Nord-California
  • Kellyanne Conway, former Trump political adviser
  • Chris Christie, advisor and former governor
  • A reporter at the White House

A total of 13 close contacts infected

After Trump was rushed to the hospital late Friday night, there are still reports of people around him testing positive.

In the past week, Trump has attended a number of campaign-related events in addition to the ceremony where Amy Coney Barrett was nominated for Supreme Court Justice.

A total of 13 people associated with the events are now infected, including Donald Trump, Melania Trump and their adviser Hope Hicks.

So far, 30 of Trump’s potential close contacts have tested negative.
