MILANO (VG) Bodø / Glimt coach Kjetil Knutsen (51) had no faith that the Italians would underestimate the Norwegian league leader. Stefano Pioli’s press conference (54) indicates that he is right.
– We know how important the game will be and we prepare as if it were a final. For our opponents, it will be the game of their lives, said the Milan manager at the press conference the day before the game.
It was probably longer before Milan came out in a decisive game in Europe than at the San Siro on Wednesday afternoon, where Kjetil Knutsen two hours earlier spoke about how well prepared Italian clubs tend to be.

The Milan manager described Bodø / Glimt as “young and fast” after the victory over Bologna on Monday. He repeated that message to the press on Wednesday.
– They have very fast wings and it is a team that is also good at controlling games. They are doing well, Pioli says.

– I don’t like to think that we have everything to lose, but that we have everything to gain. We have to think like that for the game, the Milan manager replies, and again mentions that Bodø / Glimt have 18 wins and two draws in the last 20 games.

Kjetil Knutsen thought it inappropriate to talk too much about individuals, but of course praised the Swedish superstar’s abilities.
