BODØ / OSLO (VG) On Sunday night, Jens Petter Hauge (20) poked fun at the Vålerenga camp by calling the Oslo club’s performance “disgraceful”. On Monday the apology came.
– Maybe it was a little too much of me. Sorry. This is what happens when your adrenaline shoots up after you’ve fought in an incredibly important victory, Hauge explains to the press in Aspmyra on Monday morning.
The 20-year-old had just been informed that he is part of the A team for the first time, for one of the most important national games in many years: the Eurocup playoffs against Serbia in Ullevaal on October 8.

Parallel to the talks about the national team, Hauge also had to respond to word of mouth with the Vålerenga camp on Sunday, where Glimt’s profile asked Vålerenga to “line up” after an “embarrassing” first half.
Hauge was provoked because the effort contrasted with what he believes was expressed beforehand, that Vålerenga came to win.
One journalist wondered, among other things, if Hauge was not allowed to be “a bit cocky” or “cocky” as he is called in Norwegian.
– I don’t mean to say I’m particularly high up. We left one hell of … excuse the expression, solid work. He explains that it was both frustration and joy that had to come after the 2-0 win over Vålerenga.
– It may not have been taken in the best way. I have to learn a little from that. That is what happens. Vålerenga also has some profiles who are not afraid to say what they want to say, he points out.

Vålerenga coach Dag-Eilev Fagermo responded as follows on Sunday:
– I’m very happy with the first round, me. There are probably 52-48 in “possession” of Glimt, and there probably aren’t that many who have, so he’s completely even.
