Asthmatic Chris Christie (58) has been hospitalized with coronavirus after attending the Rosehage ceremony. Several cases of infection are now related to this event.

The former New Jersey governor is one of several now infected after attending the ceremony in which Amy Coney Barrett was nominated as a Supreme Court Justice on Saturday last week.

The footage shows Christie embracing a woman, conversing closely with people and shaking hands after the Rosehagen ceremony at the White House. She was not wearing a mask.

A video shows that Senator Mike Lee, infected with coronavirus, also hugs people.

The two infected Republicans weren’t the only ones to have a lot of close contact with other participants in the much-talked-about event in Rosehagen.

Video footage shows Trump’s adviser Kellyanne Conway and Attorney General William Barr in close conversation. Barr shakes hands with several people during the event and Conway has now been confirmed to be infected.

They attended the nomination ceremony and so far have tested positive:

  • President Donald Trump
  • First Lady Melania Trump
  • John I. Jenkins, Director of the American University of Notre-Dame
  • Mike Lee, Senator from Utah
  • Thom Tillis, Senator i Nord-California
  • Kellyanne Conway, former Trump political adviser
  • Chris Christie, advisor and former governor

I did not use a mask

The former governor was also present as the US president prepared for Tuesday’s debate against Democratic challenger and former Vice President Joe Biden.

He himself tells ABC News that five or six people were in the room during preparations with the president and that no one was wearing a mask.

They rehearsed for debate Sunday and Monday at the White House.

Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, and former White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, were also in attendance, according to NBC News.

The Associated Press reports that these were also part of the team that prepared Trump: Adviser Hope Hicks, Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Adviser Jason Miller, Adviser Alyssa Farah, and son-in-law and adviser Jared. Kushner.
