In a live YouTube stream on Tuesday, the team behind Google’s new game streaming service, Stadia, was able to announce a lot of news for their Stadia game streaming service.
Perhaps the most notable new Stadia title is the Battle Royale PUBG game, available to play right now. The game supports crossover games and consoles, and is free for Stadia Pro subscribers.
Otherwise, for fans of Japanese classical school RPGs, Google might announce that the RPG Octopath Traveler Switch is now also available on the Stadia platform.
EA cooperation
Otherwise, the team could report that the service has now entered into collaboration with leading game publisher EA.
This collaboration will initially bring Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to the Stadia platform, which will take place this fall, and then there will also be games in the Madden NFL and FIFA series.
You can watch the full stream with all the Stadia news at the top of the article.
As we reported earlier this month, Stadia Pro is currently available for a free trial in all launch countries, including Norway, for two months starting April 8. The reason is the current coronavirus situation.
In the free period, there are only nine games available; GRID, Destiny 2: The Collection, SteamWorld Dig 2, Thumper, GYLT, SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech, Serious Sam Collection, Spitlings and Stacks on Stacks (on stacks).
Google Stages launched in November last year and got off to an unconvincing start. In our first impression, we could see that the service works well on a technical level, but that the game selection and frameworks need improvement.
