The internet giant experienced major problems with various services on Monday.
Multiple users are reporting that several of Google’s services, including Youtube, Gmail, Meet, and Google Drive, are having trouble Monday afternoon.
VG reported the bug at 12:55. At 1:31 p.m., Google itself announces that the services are up and running again for some users.
The website downdetector.com, which collects error messages on various websites, claims that they have received more than 100,000 error messages from their users about Google in the last 24 hours.
– We are aware that a problem with Google affects the majority of users, the company said in a statement Monday.
Also, they wrote that they would provide an update from 12.55 to 13.12 for the various services.
The New York Times has contacted the company. A spokesperson later said they had no immediate comment on the issues.
In Google’s overview of which services are down, all services are marked in red, which means they are not running.
However, it is still possible to perform a search on the Google search engine at 13:35.
According to the website, Google Classroom, Home, Play, and Hangouts services are down as well.
At the moment, users will not be able to use the many services Google is known for, and on which many depend both privately and at work.
“Google” is trending on Twitter, and the word has been tweeted more than 840,000 times on Monday.
The official YouTube-Twitter account “TeamYouTube” has also written a message acknowledging that users have problems:
Several users report that many of the services work if you use incognito mode in the browser.
