FrP leader Siv Jensen says this is not the time to launch the country into a government crisis.
Important tax exemptions
– In a normal situation, it is not certain that we would have accepted this agreement, says Jensen.
– Overall, a breakthrough for NOK 18 billion. Much attention is paid to cross-border trade fees; they are reduced by almost NOK 3.7 billion.
This eliminates the tax on chocolate and sugar, halves the tax on soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages, reduces the tax on snus by 25 percent. reduces taxes on beer and wine by 775 mill.
The FrP leader hopes this will secure more jobs in Norway and reduce Swedish trade when the borders are opened.
FRP reinforces the net salary scheme with an additional 600 million to the scheme. Insure Norwegian seafarers on Norwegian ships. And this deal provides retirees with more money.
More to retirees
– Now we have received a breakthrough for almost 2 billion extra for retirees. Insure retirees, after years of meager arrangements, more money next year, says Jensen.
The agreement ensures 1.6 billion more for transportation and 2 billion more to reduce the debt of tolls. Asphalt for an extra 500 million for better road standards and more employees. Progress for the start of the construction of the ship tunnel in Stadt.
KrF leader Kjell Ingold Ropstad is happy that the budget guarantees the capacity of the health care system.
– I’m glad there is a strong commitment to seniors in the budget. In particular, I would like to point out that we are increasing the pensions of the single minimum pensioners. In recent years, KrF has achieved an increase of 12,000, now they have increased even more by 5,000, he says.
– For the Liberal Party, it is gratifying that through negotiations we have secured animal police officers in every police district in the country, the Stadt ship tunnel and 3,000 quota refugees next year, says Guri Melby, leader of the Liberal Party.
Venstre and KrF are satisfied with the result
Guri Melby says that the party is very satisfied with this agreement between the FrP and the government on the state budget.
– There have been constructive negotiations. The results show that we can come together to secure the necessary measures to equip Norway for the future and lift the country out of the crisis we are in now, says Melby.
She adds:
– With this budget agreement, we continue to focus on school and knowledge, to reduce our emissions and help the business community during the corona pandemic, says Guri Melby.
KrF believes that this is a budget that also focuses on the world’s poorest.
– This reinforces that those who have lost their jobs will return to working life, says KrF leader Kjell Ingolf Ropstad.
Negotiations ended well in overtime
On November 9, negotiations on Norway’s budget began next year. They were stomping around for a long time. FRP leader Siv Jensen announced progress in negotiations on Sunday.
The recommendation in the Storting finance committee was submitted without a majority on Friday, so negotiations were completed overtime. The financial debate at the Storting will take place next Thursday.
This year, it is important for Erna Solberg and her government to have Siv Jensen and the Progress Party on the team. They have now negotiated a majority for their budget at the Storting.
Crisis packages agreed in advance
Despite the agreement on a crisis package for the business community in mid-November, negotiations between the government parties KrF, Høyre og Venstre and the parliamentary party Frp have been slow.
The FRP and the government parties Høyre, Venstre and KrF have already agreed on a crisis package of NOK 22.1 billion for coronary companies and municipalities.
